Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Meat Team Leader in the Meat and Seafood departments. You will oversee day-to-day merchandising, stocking, product flow, planograms, and pricing to ensure department profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Meat department leadership responsibilities and experience preferred.
• Capable of managing staffing levels and performance in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to manage pricing, merchandising, and planograms for Meat and Seafood.
• Commitment to sanitation, safety, and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for achieving financial performance goals in both Meat and Seafood departments.
• Conducts interviews to ensure proper staffing levels are achieved.
• Trains Meat team members to build and sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Writes and manages Meat schedules to achieve service levels while controlling expenses.
• Ensures Real Time Apply is completed accurately and according to Meijer timelines.
• Ensures signing execution and pricing accuracy are maintained.
• Accountable for Meijer sanitation and safety procedures.
• Controls and manages inventory shrinkage through proper inventory practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
