Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Reno, NV is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to help customers make healthy choices while leading one of our busiest teams in store operations.

In this role you will assist the Meat & Seafood Manager with department merchandising, ordering, inventory control, staff training, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines to deliver fresh, high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years professional experience in grocery retail Meat department.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift/carry weights and stand for long periods as part of job duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
