Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Concord, NC seeks an Assistant Meat Manager to lead our Meat & Seafood team with a focus on fresh, high-quality products and exceptional customer service. You’ll assist in pricing, stocking, and maintaining department standards while supporting store goals.

You’ll oversee inventory, training, and daily operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and compliance, collaboration with teammates, and a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with basic math knowledge and weights/measurements.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience, proven leadership, and 2-3 years grocery retail experience in Meat department preferred.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor; positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours, up to 8 hours per shift; walk up to 2 miles.
• Able to lift/carry 25–90 lbs., up to 10 feet; able to use pallet jack up to 500 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product and service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure freshness and adherence to receiving, stocking and unloading procedures.
• Unload deliveries, operate and maintain meat & seafood equipment.
• Enforce company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations.
