Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our Meat Department. You will deliver outstanding customer service, handle meat processing tasks, and assist customers with special orders in a fast-paced store environment.

You will receive, store, and grind meats, rotate stock to avoid aging, and help maintain clean, safe work areas in accordance with department programs. A friendly, reliable team player is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor and strong customer interaction skills.
• Capable of flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Must stand up to 4 hours at a time and up to 8 hours per shift; lift up to 90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service and product knowledge.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload deliveries from trucks.
• Rotate meats and inspect storage to prevent aging; assist with special orders.
• Follow ‘Clean as You Go’ and ‘Fresh at 4’ programs and adhere to safety rules.
