Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our Meat Department. You will provide top-notch customer service, handle meat products, and support daily department operations in a fast-paced, friendly store.

The role requires adherence to safety procedures, knowledge of products, and a willingness to assist customers with special orders while maintaining a clean, organized department. Training and opportunities for growth are available in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, with basic math, weights and measures knowledge.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Have an outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift/carry products up to 90 lbs.
• Able to operate equipment like a pallet jack and move heavy items safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service in the Meat Department.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload fresh and boxed meats from deliveries.
• Assist customers with questions and special orders while maintaining a positive environment.
• Follow company safe handling procedures and rotate meats to prevent aging.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ads and guide customers to product locations.
• Follow the shop’s Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs.
