Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Clerk to join the Meat Department. You will provide prompt, friendly customer service, wrap and weight products, stock cases, and assist with seafood prep as needed.

The role requires basic math, ability to follow directions, and a commitment to sanitation in a fast-paced environment. High school or equivalent experience and food safety training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and ability to interact with customers professionally.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions and to perform tasks accurately.
• Basic math and counting skills for handling merchandise and cash handling.

Responsabilités

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting care in all interactions.
• Greets customers and learns names when possible; assists in locating products.
• Wraps, weighs, labels and stocks products; checks freshness and rotates stock.
• Ensures proper sanitation and maintains clean work area; maintains department guidelines.
