Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Meat and Seafood Manager in Richmond, VA to lead the department, direct team members, and uphold inventory control and pricing integrity. The role demands efficient operations and a focus on excellence to drive results.

You will train assistants, certify staff, and ensure compliance with TFMA standards, while delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, meat cutting and/or culinary settings.
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and proactively assist with accurate and timely service.
• Handle, slice, and trim meat and seafood products while maintaining quality per standards.
• Make recommendations and accommodate customer requests.
• Manage ordering deadlines, shrink prevention, and stock replenishment with rotation.
• Direct teams and train staff to provide excellent guest service safely and effectively.
