Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Meat and Seafood Manager to lead a fast-paced department, drive inventory accuracy, pricing integrity, and overall operational excellence. You will guide team members, ensure quality product levels, and maintain exceptional guest service.

Qualified candidates will have several years of management experience in grocery retail or meat cutting, proficiency with planograms, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service
• Handle, slice, expertly cut and trim a variety of the department’s prime and premium meat and seafood products and items for convenient meal solutions throughout the day
• Make recommendations and accommodate requests
• Manage order guides, ordering deadlines, reduce shrink and damage
• Properly receive and stock goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels
• Direct teams to handle, slice and prepare specialty meat, seafood, and Convenient Meal Solutions
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on-the-job and through internal training platforms to ensure excellent guest service in a safe manner
• Ensure the training and certification of all Assistant Meat Managers and Meat Cutters
