Job summary

The Fresh Market in Carmel, Indiana is seeking a Meat and Seafood Manager to lead the department, direct team members, manage inventory, pricing integrity and key operational processes with a passion for excellence. You will greet guests, cut and prepare meat and seafood, manage orders and shrink, coach staff, ensure rotation standards, and certify team members through TFMA within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, meat cutting and/or culinary work.
• Ability to read and follow planograms, layouts and schematics for merchandising.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide accurate, timely service.
• Directly manage meat and seafood products, inventories and pricing integrity.
• Coordinate order guides, deadlines and shrink control.
• Train, coach and motivate team members on the job and via internal platforms.
• Ensure proper receiving, stocking and rotation of products.
• Lead a team to prepare specialty meat, seafood and convenient meal solutions.
• Certify Assistant Meat Managers and Meat Cutters within TFMA within 90 days.
