Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Las Vegas is seeking a Meat & Seafood Manager to oversee the department's sales and operations, ensuring top product quality and exceptional service. You will lead, coach, and schedule a team, collaborating with store leadership to meet financial goals and drive growth in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, cutting expertise, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 2 years meat cutting experience in grocery or restaurant settings including leadership experience.
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously and up to 8 hours per shift; may walk up to 2 miles per shift.
• Capable of working in a temperature-controlled environment.
• Able to lift/carry products 25–90 lbs., up to 10 feet.
• Able to operate a pallet jack to move pallets up to 500 lbs., up to 100 feet for several hours.
• Must work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Plan, order, and prepare cutting lists to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Ensure correct ordering, receiving, storage, and rotation of merchandise and displays.
• Coach and develop team members; conduct performance reviews and merit considerations.
• Attend in-store meetings and lead the department through daily operations.
• Recruit, hire, promote, and transfer staff in collaboration with Store Manager.
• Address team concerns with independent judgment and appropriate actions.
• Create and adjust schedules and staffing to maximize productivity.
• Communicate standards, policy changes, and product knowledge to the team.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality products and excellent customer service.
• Serve as Key Carrier or MOD as needed.
