Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to help lead one of the busiest teams in the store. You will assist in managing meat and seafood operations, ensuring fresh product, accurate inventory, and high standards of customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will support the Meat & Seafood Manager, help with staffing, training, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines while contributing to ongoing team development and store profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years professional experience in grocery retail, preferably in Meat department processes and procedures.
• Proven leadership experience in a team setting.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver quality products and high levels of service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Follow safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and company practices.
• Unload deliveries, operate and maintain meat&seafood equipment.
• Ensure adherence to company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in effective communication of weekly ads and inventory control.
