Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our Gainesville, FL team. You will manage, cut, and trim meat and seafood according to our standards and guest requests, while assisting with inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising, and other operations to deliver the best product and service.

This full-time role requires working early shifts and maintaining high product quality. You will support cross-department operations, monitor case temperatures, and uphold safety and food safety

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in cutting meat.
• Must be certified within TFMA within 90 days of hire.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Passion for providing extraordinary service.
• Experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle production for key items to support Meat-Seafood, Deli-CMS, and other departments as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items; assist guests across departments.
• Cut and trim a variety of meat and seafood products to TF Market standards.
• Monitor temperature of cases, spillovers, and storage areas.
• Enforce and follow department practices regarding receiving, stocking, and unloading deliveries.
• Ensure safety and food safety compliance per TF Market policies and law.
