Job summary

The Fresh Market in Fort Wayne is seeking a Meat Cutter who will manage, cut, and trim meat and seafood to The Fresh Market standards. You’ll assist with inventory, pricing, merchandising, and keep the department running smoothly to ensure the best product and service for guests.

You will work early shifts, with a schedule starting at 3 am, and must be able to meet the needs of the stores and guests, including weekends and holidays. The role includes a shift differential for late-night hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience cutting meat.
• Certified within TFMA within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Handle production for Meat-Seafood, Deli-CMS, and other departments as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items; assist guests in finding products and meal solutions.
• Cut and trim a variety of meat and seafood products to TF markets standards while managing quality stock.
• Monitor temperature of cases, spillovers, and storage areas.
• Follow safety, food safety, and department policies for freshness and quality.
