Job summary

The Fresh Market in Asheville, NC is seeking a Meat Cutter to expertly cut and trim meat and seafood, manage inventory, pricing integrity, and merchandising to deliver the freshest products and an exceptional guest experience.

You will support across departments, monitor case temperatures, and uphold safety standards while providing first-class service to guests. This hourly role requires availability for early shifts.

Qualifications

• All of The Fresh Market Meat Cutters must be certified within TFMA within 90 days of hire.
• At a minimum, what you'll need:
• 2 years or more of experience in cutting meat
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Handle production for key items to support Meat- Seafood, Deli-CMS, and other departments as needed
• Maintain knowledge of products/weekly ad items throughout the store and work across departments to assist guests in finding products and complete meal solutions
• Handle, slice, expertly cut and trim a variety of the department's prime and premium meat and seafood products, and items for our convenient meal solutions throughout the day
• Monitor temperature of cases, spillovers, and storage areas
• Enforce and follow department practices regarding receiving, stocking, and the unloading deliveries of product to ensure freshness and quality
• Ensure department adherence to all safety requirements and protocols
