Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Hamilton Township, NJ is seeking a Meat Department team member to receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats. You will assist members by answering questions and recommending products while maintaining all safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood, and makes recommendations on food products.
• Weights, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinding.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery to meet quality standards.
• Ensures the meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases are stocked and rotated by expiration dates.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety standards in the meat department.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports club policies.
