Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring part-time Meat Department Team Members. You will receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandize fresh and processed meats, answer member questions, and ensure all cases are stocked and clean. Applicants should be comfortable lifting, standing long shifts, and working 2pm–10pm with weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery. Ensures quality standards.
• Ensures cases are fully stocked across meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses.
• Rotates products according to expiration dates and disposes of damaged items as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness and safekeeping of the meat department.
