Overview of Responsibilities

As a Meat Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will work in one of our most popular departments! You will be responsible for providing high-quality customer service, practicing safe food handling, and possessing product knowledge and preparation techniques. Your tasks include receiving, storing, and grinding meats; unloading and transporting meats from delivery trucks; counting, weighing, and verifying incoming products; examining and rotating meats to prevent aging; assisting customers with questions and special orders; and maintaining a clean and organized work environment following our 'Clean as You Go' and 'Fresh at 4' programs. This role requires adherence to all departmental procedures and safety guidelines. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures.
• Dependable, reliable, and willing to perform related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and good customer interaction skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to perform housekeeping duties, clean, and sanitize work areas.
• Adherence to safety, health, weights, measures regulations, and company recipes.
• Ability to stand for up to 4 hours continuously, walk up to 2 miles per shift, and work inside temperature-controlled areas.
• Good vision for using sharp knives and equipment.
• Ability to lift/carry products between 25-90 lbs., move pallets up to 500 lbs., and move racks and tables as specified.
