Responsibilities

As a Meat Clerk, you will work in a popular department of our store. Your responsibilities include providing high-quality customer service, practicing safe food handling, and maintaining product knowledge. You will receive, store, and grind meats; unload and transport meats and poultry from deliveries; count, weigh, and verify incoming products; examine and rotate meats to prevent aging. You will assist customers with questions and special orders, promote store programs like "Clean as You Go" and "Fresh at 4," and adhere to departmental procedures. This role requires a fast-paced, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have basic math skills.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to perform related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing, friendly, with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Capable of standing for up to 8 hours, walking up to 2 miles per shift, and performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 90 lbs.
• Must have good vision for using sharp tools and equipment.
