Job Description

This is a part-time position. The primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop.

Responsibilities include processing, packaging, and stocking produce products according to standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. When assigned, perform duties of floral clerk.

Skills and Qualifications

• Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, willingness to participate in and complete required training, and teamwork to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training; or equivalent.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in English, both written and verbal.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction, including handling money and weight measurements.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.
• Certificates and Training: Completion of company training, including orientation, food sanitation, safety, and product knowledge.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, and smell. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must lift/move up to 60 pounds and reach from 6-72 inches. Specific vision abilities required.
• The work environment is cool (55-60°F), often wet/humid, and may involve exposure to fumes, chemicals, and loud noise.
