Job summary

Central Valley Meat Co. is seeking a Sanitation Technician to clean production equipment and maintain hygiene in a meat processing environment. The role requires following safety rules, HACCP and GMP standards, and preparing areas for USDA inspection.

It is a hands-on, physically active position with evening hours and potential overtime. The successful candidate will have prior food manufacturing sanitation experience, be able to handle heavy physical work, and operate in hot, bloody, and dirty

Qualifications

• Two years prior experience in a food manufacturing and sanitation setting preferred.
• Must be able to perform heavy physical activity and work in varying temperature conditions.
• Shift 6:30 PM– 3:00 AM; overtime and Saturdays required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans production equipment as assigned.
• Reports any equipment breakage immediately to the Sanitation Supervisor or QC.
• Follows all Safety rules; complies with HACCP, GMPs, SOPs and food safety requirements.
• Washes, scrubs, rinses machinery and conveyors in assigned areas using cleaning chemicals and tools.
• Completes the cleaning process and prepares for USDA inspection.
