Job summary

Central Valley Meat Co. is seeking a Sanitation Technician to clean production equipment and facilities in a meat processing environment. The role requires adhering to HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and food safety requirements, with immediate reporting of equipment issues to QC.

The position involves heavy physical activity, standing, and operating in hot, bloody conditions. Evening shift from 6:30 PM to 3:00 AM with overtime opportunities is required.

Qualifications

• Two years prior experience in a food manufacturing and sanitation setting preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy physical activity and work varying temperatures.
• Shift includes evenings and potential overtime; must be able to work in hot, bloody environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans production equipment as assigned.
• Washes, scrubs, rinses machinery and conveyors.
• Completes cleaning process and prepares for USDA inspection.
• Reports any equipment breakage immediately to supervisor or QC.
• Follows all safety rules and complies with HACCP, GMPs, SOPs and food safety requirements.
