Responsibilities

• Lead department managers within the processing facility (cut, prep, packaging, warehouse).
• Collaborate with management to drive operational improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
• Coordinate with all departments to tackle operational challenges.
• Direct, monitor and appraise performance, giving guidance on concerns or new tasks.
• Maintain qualified personnel and recommend compensation for production staff.
• Participate in the management team to shape business strategy, policy and direction.
• Provide input on decisions, review costs in labor, equipment, and supplies.
• Work with customers, sales, and merchandising on product development and meat knowledge assessment.
• Assist with customer inquiries and field sales issues to resolve problems.
• Provide analysis to president as requested and justify major expenditures.
