Job summary

Leidy's maintenance team is hiring an entry-level to early-career Maintenance Mechanic to service meat production equipment and support facilities. You will perform basic mechanical tasks, assist senior mechanics, and help with PM schedules, testing, and safety compliance.

The role offers growth and training in a fast-paced facility. Work involves conveyors, grinders, slicers, and packaging lines, with exposure to cold environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical certificate preferred.
• 0-2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, food processing, or industrial setting.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools, fasteners, and repair methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical repairs on production equipment such as conveyors, grinders, slicers, saws, packagers, scales, and labeling machines.
• Assist senior mechanics with more complex repairs, troubleshooting, and rebuilds.
• Carry out scheduled PM tasks according to the CMMS; inspect equipment for wear, leaks, unusual noises, or potential failures.
• Document completed work accurately and fully within the maintenance system; follow safety policies and PPE requirements.
