Job summary

The Judge Group, INC. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a refrigerated meat processing facility. You will ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently during production hours, focusing on reliability and preventative maintenance.

The role requires 2+ years of industrial maintenance, basic electrical troubleshooting, and familiarity with PLCs, motors, and gearboxes. You will read manuals and schematics, lift up to 50 lbs, and work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; trade certification preferred.
At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, food/meat processing preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical troubleshooting.
Familiarity with PLCs, motors, and gearboxes is a plus.
Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Comfortable in cold, wet environments and fast-paced production.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repair of processing equipment (conveyors, grinders, slicers, packaging).
Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and maintain performance.
Respond to equipment breakdowns during the shift and document work orders.
Maintain electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures (USDA/FDA).
Assist with equipment installation and continuous improvement projects.
Collaborate with production staff to support operations goals.
