Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade certification preferred.
• At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, food/meat processing preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PLCs, motors, and gearboxes is a plus.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Comfortable in cold, wet environments and fast-paced production.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair of processing equipment (conveyors, grinders, slicers, packaging).
• Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and maintain performance.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns during the shift and document work orders.
• Maintain electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures (USDA/FDA).
• Assist with equipment installation and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with production staff to support operations goals.

One of our clients is currently seeking a maintenance tech. They are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support our meat processing facility. In this role, you will help ensure that all equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently during production hours. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of processing equipment such as conveyors, grinders, slicers, and packaging machines
• Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and maintain equipment performance
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production issues during the shift
• Maintain and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and required documentation accurately
• Follow all safety, food safety (USDA/FDA), and sanitation procedures
• Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
• Collaborate with production staff to support operational goals
