Job summary

ShopRite of Southbury in Southbury, CT is seeking a Meat Manager (Grade A) to direct the Meat Department and its Associates toward sales, profit, Customer Experience, and engagement goals. You will supervise daily operations, ensure HACCP compliance, and maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the department.

Responsibilities include training and onboarding, setting staffing levels, monitoring temperature logs, and promoting excellent service with a friendly, professional presence.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English and interpret information.
• Must perform basic math and be able to stand for shifts.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to interact with customers and lead associates to meet department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Meat Department.
• Lead associates to achieve department goals in sales and customer experience.
• Ensure safety, food safety compliance, and cleanliness.
• Maintain temperature logs and production sheets.
• Train and onboard department associates and provide feedback.
• Maintain proper staffing and scheduling to meet needs.
