Job summary

ShopRite in Garafalo, CT is seeking a Meat Manager to direct the Meat Department and its associates, drive sales and customer experience, and lead the team to achieve department goals under the General Store Manager’s direction.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety standards, training Associates, maintaining records, and ensuring proper stocking and presentation of meat products. The role requires strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English and analyze information.
• Basic math skills required for transactions and calculations.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended shifts.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Meat Department and its Associates to achieve department goals.

• Provide onboarding, training, and feedback to Associates.
• Maintain temperature logs and department cleanliness.
• Ensure proper staffing and adherence to schedules.
• Interact with customers to ensure a positive experience.
