Lowes Foods is seeking a Bench Department Manager for the meat department, covering Concord, Kannapolis, Mooresville, and Harrisburg areas. The role focuses on driving sales, training staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and service in a fast-paced retail environment.

The ideal candidate will lead a team, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations across the meat department.

Qualifikationen

• High school education is required.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of meat operations.
• Ability to supervise people, including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements on the job.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts for extended periods.

Aufgaben

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the meat department; may assist on the front end.
• Accountable for achieving budgeted financial results.
• Prepare meat products for sale according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain in-store selling culture with merchandising programs, planning and pricing; ensure in-stock conditions.
• Schedule the department and ensure compliance with standards (ALI audits).
• Train and develop department staff; build a talent bench for growth.
• Ensure sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Maintain coolers and freezers to standard.
• Own the meat department and coordinate with DSD Receiver and scan coordinator.
