Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Bench Department Manager for the Meat Department to ensure profitable operations and excellent guest service. You will lead slicing, pricing, merchandising, and staff development while upholding safety and quality standards.

As bench leadership you will train staff, manage schedules, and drive sales growth across locations within the region. A strong meat operations background and supervisory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High school education and 3-4 years of progressive supermarket experience.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally and 25lbs constantly.
• Knowledge of meat operations and standards.
• Ability to supervise and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service in the meat department.
• Achieve budgeted financial results.
• Prepare meat products to company standards (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, price).
• Maintain in-store selling culture with merchandising, pricing, and stock.
• Schedule department and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback and development for staff.
• Train departmental staff and develop high-potential employees.
• Maintain sanitation and safe food handling practices.
