Save-A-Lot, Ltd. is hiring a Meat Wrapper for our New Castle, PA location. The role focuses on wrapping, weighing, labeling, and merchandising fresh meat to maximize sales while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The position requires basic math, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced grocery environment. Experience in perishable or meat departments is a plus, with full-time hours and competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in grocery perishable department or meat wrapping preferred.
• Proficiency in basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must read, write, and speak English; Spanish or other languages a plus in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Learn to package authorized beef, pork and poultry following company policies.
• Wrap, weigh and price meat cuts according to standards.
• Label packages per COOL, USDA and company guidelines.
• Maintain displays and case signs to maximize sales and ensure freshness.
• Assist with product ordering and maintain proper date rotation.
• Receive, inspect and store meat to keep cold chain integrity.
• Clean and sanitize meat cases and rooms to meet quality standards.
• Follow all company policies including safety, sanitation, and inventory procedures.
