Job summary

Save-A-Lot, Ltd. is hiring a Meat Wrapper to handle fresh meat and related products in our Seffner store. The role emphasizes safe, sanitary operations, inventory support, and accurate merchandising to maximize sales.

You will work in a fast-paced environment requiring teamwork, basic math, and good communication. Prior meat or perishable experience is a plus; bilingual skills are a bonus for multi-language locations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in grocery perishable department or meat wrapping preferred.
• Proficiency in basic math skills.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Learns to package authorized beef, pork and poultry items according to company policies and procedures.
• Wraps, weighs and prices cuts of meat.
• Labels packages according to COOL, USDA and company standards.
• Ensures displays and case signs are updated and meat is merchandised to maximize sales.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat to maintain cold chain and quality.
• Completes cleaning and sanitation of meat cases and meat rooms.
