Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member for the meat department to assist with counter service, stocking, and sanitation while ensuring a positive store image. You will support sampling, merchandising, cleanliness, and safety, while upholding health regulations and SOPs.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to adhere to health and safety regulations and company SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, rotating and removing out-of-date products, filling ice tables, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required.
• Arrives on time, groomed and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers promptly, and uses suggestive selling.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment; keeps equipment in safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
