Job summary

Cost-U-Less, Inc. is seeking a Meat Manager to direct the Meat Department staff under the Assistant Store Manager - Merchandising. You will lead a customer-focused, safety-conscious team dedicated to meeting company standards and beefing up perishables performance.

In addition to supervising operations, you will drive merchandise planning, stock rotation, pricing accuracy, and staff development to ensure an efficient, profitable department and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Prior managerial experience is required.
• Minimum 5 years of meat cutting experience is required.
• Ability to cut beef, fish, poultry and pork is a must.
• USDA Standards knowledge is a plus.
• High school diploma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct activities of staff per shift to ensure Meat department is stocked and merchandised to company standards.
• Provide superior customer service and assist customers with heavy or large purchases.
• Maintain safety and sanitation methods for food handling per standards.
• Review plan-o-grams, rotate merchandise, and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Train new staff and develop employees for performance and attendance.
