Job summary

PAY-AND-SAVE, INC. is seeking a Meat Manager to oversee the Meat department, drive sales, and maintain product quality in accordance with store policies. The position requires leadership to motivate teammates and ensure excellent customer service.

The Meat Manager will align with store management and vendors, supervise staff, manage inventory, pricing, and merchandising, and adhere to company procedures and standards every day.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of various cuts and types of meat products and recommended uses or cooking methods.
• Knowledge of meat department equipment operation.
• Ability to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Order and maintain inventory control to ensure freshness and turnover for maximum sales.
• Review financial and operating results relative to budgeted sales, expenses, and payroll.
• Oversee inventory, new product purchases, scheduling to maximize operating results.
• Ensure courteous service and prompt handling of requests and complaints.
• Train department teammates and manage staffing as needed.
