Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot Price Rite Providence is seeking a Meat Department Supervisor, Full Time in the Operations department. You will direct, develop and manage the Meat Department staff to protect assets, maintain presentation and maximize sales while ensuring proper controls and safety.

Reports to Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. The role requires English proficiency, physical stamina and prior meat supervisory experience; cross-training and career growth opportunities are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English as primary communication.
• Perform basic math calculations and percentages.
• Understand and follow directions and safety procedures.
• Lift up to 75 lbs; work in cold environments.
• Supervisory experience in meat or deli preferred.
• High school diploma required; some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, develop and manage the Meat Department staff.
• Protect company assets and maintain store conditions.
• Maximize sales through merchandising and presentation.
• Ensure sanitation, payroll and record keeping compliance.
• Provide exceptional customer service and safety.
• Train and develop team members and communicate with management.
