Job summary

Meijer is seeking a seasoned store leadership professional to oversee daily operations across departments in a fast-paced retail environment. You will manage staffing, coaching, and customer service to deliver strong sales and excellent shrink control. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments across store departments beneficial.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image with courteous, friendly, and efficient service.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members; plan succession and promotions.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions; advise on discharge decisions.
• Responsible for P&L, sales and shrink control for the department.
• Lead with the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and discussions.
• Ensure team training and completion of required training.
• Spend majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
