Job summary

Chedraui USA in Burbank, CA is seeking an experienced Full-time Meat Lead to oversee the Meat Department, ensure freshness and merchandising compliance, and drive sales during all hours including weekends.

This role reports to the Store Manager and collaborates with the Meat Merchandising Manager to staff, train, and monitor performance while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least three years related store operations experience.
• Successful completion of the S&F Perishables class is required for internal candidates.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence using company order guides.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on training for Meat Department associates on display techniques, rotation, and ordering.
• Assess incoming product quality and escalate issues to the Meat Merchandising Manager or District Merchandiser.
• Evaluate in-store displays/fixtures and address gaps to company standards.
• Set up the meat case and ensure adherence to merchandising programs.
• Order product quantities from various fresh meat vendors based on plan and seasonality.
• Operate meat saws, grinders, and wrapping equipment as required.
