Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to lead the Meat Department in a fast-paced store environment. You will supervise associates, ensure product quality and safety, and drive inventory and merchandising excellence.

Responsibilities include training staff, planning production, controlling shrink, and maintaining high-level customer service while partnering with store leadership to meet store priorities and goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Meat Department operations in the Meat Manager's absence.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to meat department associates.
• Train, coach, and develop associates on procedures, food safety, merchandising, and customer service.
• Assist with production planning, inventory, and ordering to control shrink and ensure in-stock conditions.
• Monitor product freshness, quality, labeling, pricing, and displays to meet standards.
• Promote safe working practices and address hazards with leadership.
• Support scheduling and daily assignments to balance production and service.
