Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, train and direct Meat department associates; perform production and customer service functions; maximize store sales and profits.
• Develop maximum customer relations through friendliness and courtesy and implementation of all company policies; assist in store security and handle complaints.
• Keep temperature logs updated; train staff on logs to guarantee accuracy.
• Price and display merchandise; maintain signage, rotation, freshness, quantity and space.
• Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.
• Train and develop Meat department employees, emphasizing courtesy and productivity.
• Implement company programs and policies; ensure a harassment-free environment.
• Make hiring, firing, disciplining, transferring and evaluating recommendations for meat staff.
• Promote company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports.
• Demonstrate ability to manage people and workloads.
• Supervise and coach direct reports; conduct performance reviews.
• Handle high paced or stressful environments; manage conflict constructively.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve customer/business issues.
• Provide support through interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations.
