You will manage scheduling, training, and compliance with safety and quality protocols in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will cut to customer requests, promote specials, and maintain accurate pricing while fostering a welcoming, team-oriented environment that supports store goals and community trust.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Current food handlers permit once employed.
• Adequate knife handling skills and speed.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to local, state and federal laws, safety and food safety regulations.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Communicate information to associates.
• Empower associates to meet targets through collaboration.
• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train and develop associates on job performance, including inventory and stocking.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and informed.
• Demonstrate Journeyman Meat Cutter skills and cut to requests.
• Inform customers of meat specials and offer samples.
• Provide fresh/frozen products in correct portion size.
• Manage production and minimize shrink using Cutting Tool.
• Stay current on ads and inform staff of promotions.
• Maintain merchandising plans and standards.
• Monitor inventory/stocking conditions and discrepancies.
• Ensure price integrity on shelf tags and signs.
• Comply with Country of Origin Labeling.
• Assist in inventory process.
• Maintain proper temperatures and logs.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs.
• Report safety risks and incidents.
