Responsibilities

• Create outstanding customer experiences through service in the Meat department.
• Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train associates on performance and participate in evaluations.
• Answer questions and guide customers to products within the department and store.
• Inform customers of specials and offer product samples.
• Review product quality and freshness and take action as needed.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Create and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Educate associates about promotions and store initiatives.
• Prepare seasonal critiques for the sales/merchandising supervisor.
• Manage department promotional plans and budgets with management.
• Update shelf tags and signage for price changes.
• Organize inventory processes and ensure stock accuracy.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers; log temperatures.
• Enforce safety programs and report safety risks or incidents.
