Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Department Manager in the United States to lead the Meat department, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain product quality and pricing. The role requires supervising staff, scheduling, training, and upholding Hy-Vee standards across cleanliness and safety.

The candidate should be able to manage daily operations, engage with customers by name when possible, and collaborate with store leadership to drive department profitability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in meat department preferred.
• Hy-Vee meat program knowledge is a plus.
• Dale Carnegie training encouraged.

Responsabilités

• Sets the department standards for customer service, cleanliness and profitability.
• Supervises, hires, trains and evaluates department staff.
• Ensures proper temperatures and storage for freshness and shrink control.
• Coordinates pricing, displays and replenishment with store leadership.
• Maintains a friendly, helpful environment for customers and team members.
• Plans weekly schedules and assigns daily tasks to the team.
• Communicates with staff about sales and ideas and resolves issues.
• Inspects signage, product quality and maintains department records.
