Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Meat Department supervisor to lead daily operations, ensure product freshness, and drive excellent customer service. You will work with the Meat Manager on merchandising, scheduling, and staff development in a fast-paced grocery setting.

The role requires a 2+ year management background in retail, with meat department experience preferred; strong leadership and safety adherence are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business-related or food service-related field desirable.
• Minimum 2 years' management experience in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.
• Meat management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates within the department in partnership with or absence of the department manager.
• Assists Meat Manager in day-to-day functions of Meat operations such as merchandising, ad execution, associate engagement and customer service.
• Coordinates sales and merchandising plans for the department to ensure proper stock levels and freshness.
• Manages inventory levels and reviews orders to ensure product quantities meet customer demand.
• Maintains backroom organization and product storage within company guidelines.
• Ensures department cleanliness and food safety compliance per company policies.
