Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Meat Department Supervisor to lead daily operations, ensure product freshness, and deliver excellent customer service. You will schedule and train Meat associates, manage inventory, and execute merchandising plans to meet sales goals.

The role requires leadership experience in a retail/meat department setting, strong adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work across departments to optimize store performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's in business-related or food service-related field desirable.
• Minimum 3 years' management experience in retail/food service environment.
• Meat management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes customer relations and resolves customer concerns promptly.
• Takes orders, cuts and prepares meat products as needed.
• Develops merchandising plans and displays to drive sales.
• Schedules Meat associates and oversees training and performance reviews.
• Manages inventory and backroom organization to meet customer demand.
• Ensures accuracy of deliveries, dating, restocking and product rotation.
• Controls department expenses and labor costs to minimize shrink.
• Maintains clean, safe, and compliant department operations.

Education

High School diploma or GED

Associate or bachelor's degree in business or food service

3+ years management experience in retail/restaurant/supermarket

Meat management experience preferred
