Job summary

BJs Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department team member to receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise meats, seafood, and prepared foods. You will assist Members with questions and product recommendations while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards across the meat department.

Responsibilities include assisting with packaging, stocking, and ensuring freshness, with daily adherence to club policies. This role emphasizes teamwork, speed, and a positive member experience in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery and ensures quality standards.
• Rotates meats and other items according to expiration dates and disposes of damaged products per guidelines.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, fixtures, and display areas in the meat department.
