Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandize fresh and processed meats, while assisting Members with questions. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the meat department and work to ensure accurate labeling and stock levels.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to club policies, and delivering friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced environment. Regular attendance is essential, with opportunities to grow within the club.

Qualifications

• Experience in handling fresh and processed meats.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department.
