Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring a Meat Cutter at our Marion, IN location. You will cut and weigh steaks, chops and other cuts, follow recipes, trim and bone carcass sections, and prepare products for sale while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You’ll also price, wrap, and merchandise meat items and assist customers as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year retail or related experience preferred, and strong attention to detail with basic math and good communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year retail or related experience preferred.
• Prior meat cutter/apprentice experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, and other cuts.
• Prepare value-added products per guidelines and recipes.
• Cut, trim, and bone carcass sections to cooking cuts.
• Price, date, wrap and bag meat products per guidelines.
• Maintain clean, stocked shelves and assist customers.
