Leevers Supermarkets, Inc. is seeking a Meat Cutter to support the Meat Manager in all daily operations. You will cut, prepare, and display meat products, ensuring quality, safety, and customer appeal across multiple duties.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of meat-cutting experience using hand tools and power equipment.
• Ability to train other meat team members; supervisory experience a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and leadership skills.
• Dependable and flexible; adhere to uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and places meat cuts and products for display according to policy.
• Assist Meat Manager to maintain adequate inventory.
• Enforces programs complying with health, weights-and-measures regulations.
• Breaks, cuts, boning, and grinding meat as required (e.g., chorizo).
• Ensure freshness and high product quality.
• Use knives and power equipment to cut/package items per policy.
• Update displays and case signs; merchandise to maximize sales.
• Rotate dates per policy in display and storage.
• Wrap, weigh, and label cuts; comply with COOL/USDA standards.
• Receive, inspect, and store meat; maintain cold chain.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation daily.
• Build positive relationships with staff and customers.
• May work in more than one store.
