Whole Foods Market in New Jersey is seeking a meat cutter to expertly cut, prepare, and merchandise a variety of meat products while delivering outstanding customer service. The role includes mentoring trainees and upholding health, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle trimming, pricing accuracy, and display maintenance, participate in loss-prevention, and collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completion of WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.

Responsabilités

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven ready products, and cured meats).
• Checks product to meet WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage.
• Mentors and supports Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety per procedures.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; checks pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
