Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to perform cutting, preparation, display, and selling of meat products in a fast-paced retail environment. You will ensure quality, maintain sanitation, and provide courteous, friendly service to customers and Team Members.

Training and mentoring of trainees are part of the role, with a focus on safety and adherence to SOPs. The role requires lifting, standing long hours, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as experience in

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Successful completion of WFM Butcher Apprentice Program, or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven-ready products, cured meats).
• Checks product meets Whole Foods Market quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors and prevents spoilage.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Provides courteous customer service and answers phones promptly.
• Upholds safety, sanitation, and proper pricing with accurate signage.
